NAME: Roland Lombard
Dr. Roland Lombard was a veterinarian and a racer. Dr. Lombard was a famous dog racer in Alaska, even though he lived in Wayland, Mass. He won the Fur Rendezvous World Championship Sled Dog Race in Anchorage eight times in the 1960s and 1970s and was known for bringing innovative ideas about dog care to Alaska.
Dr. Roland Lombard in 1946 registered IglooPak's Gripp and he was founding member of the Alaskan Malamute Club of America.
